This is the Hudson River as she used to be... crystal clear, clean, alive and powerful, as her unbridled whitewater thunders alongside 500-foot granite cliffs, and through awesome rapids like Givneys' Rift, the Narrows, Little Nasty and Greyhound Bus Stopper. The Hudson River's whitewater is most powerful in the spring and fall; rafting is somewhat more moderate in mid-summer. Scheduled whitewater dam releases assure terrific rafting fun all season long. Whitewater rafting releases from Lake Abanakee add extra water to the Hudson River even during our high adventure Spring season, making this a favorite rafting destination even for whitewater pros. Speaking of pros, the experienced whitewater guides makes this a rafting trip that even first-timers can enjoy. Join us in the Spring for a whitewater ride on the wild side. In the Summer or Fall you can explore the Hudson River Gorge at a more relaxed pace. Either way, the unparalleled blending of wilderness scenery and western-style whitewater will make this a most memorable adventure! Train Buff Package (May-October daily train service, January-March Fri-Sat-Sun only)

Take the Saratoga North Creek Railroad from Saratoga Springs NY to North Creek NY and enjoy the beautiful ride through the Adirondacks with a round-trip coach ticket. A shuttle will take you the couple blocks to The Alpine Lodge, in the small ski town of North Creek. Enjoy one or two nights lodging in a standard king or standard double room, enjoy a $50 gift certificate to dinner at one of numerous dining options within walking distance, tickets to The Depot Museum (open sporadically seasonally). A map of hikes available right out your door is provided.

Optional for Train Buffs: the Railroads on Parade attraction in nearby Pottersville requires transportation , but is a must-see for rail buffs- 5000 square feet of a magical miniature world of model trains with 5 fascinating intricately detailed exhibits. Only open summer-fall.
